Smart Power brings together more than 250 stakeholders committed to energy and electronics: innovative startups, SMEs, major industrial groups, research laboratories, and academic institutions.

As a recognized competitiveness cluster, Smart Power federates these complementary expertises to accelerate the emergence of collaborative projects with high technological and industrial value.

Its mission: to connect research and industry, structure strategic sectors, and support the development of innovative solutions, in order to meet the major energy and industrial challenges of today and tomorrow.

Through the animation of its ecosystem, project labeling, and support in seeking funding, Smart Power acts as a catalyst for innovation in the service of competitiveness and technological sovereignty.

Our DNA

Customer focus

Serving our members, partners, and funders is at the heart of our commitment. Smart Power places a deep understanding of needs at the core of its approach, in order to deliver tailored, effective, and practical solutions.

Beyond service quality, it is a true service mindset that drives the team: active listening, tailored support, responsiveness, and high standards. Our ambition is simple: to facilitate, accelerate, and secure our members’ projects at every stage of their development.

Proximity

Proximity lies at the core of the competitiveness cluster model, both geographically, humanly, and operationally.

It encourages direct exchanges, a nuanced understanding of local challenges, and the capacity to build fast and effective collaborations. This territorial dynamic strengthens trust among stakeholders and facilitates the emergence of innovative projects embedded within their ecosystem.

Expertise

Expertise is a cornerstone of the cluster’s credibility and legitimacy. It is built on the commitment of its members, the quality of its academic and industrial partners, and the involvement of its Scientific Council.

Smart Power is committed to ensuring a high level of rigor in the evaluation and support of projects. This rigor underpins a clear ambition: to be a leading cluster, recognized for the robustness of its analysis, the relevance of its strategic guidance, and the technological value of the projects it supports.

Collective

Collective strength is the very essence of a competitiveness cluster. Bringing together, connecting, and fostering cooperation: this is Smart Power’s purpose.

By bringing together companies, laboratories, and institutions around shared objectives, the cluster creates the conditions for ambitious collaborative innovation. The synergies generated within the ecosystem make it possible to go further together by pooling skills, resources, and strategic visions.

A competitiveness cluster is not limited to facilitating a network of stakeholders. While a cluster fosters connections and territorial dynamics, a State-recognized cluster provides a structured framework, formalized expertise, and enhanced access to public funding schemes.

Smart Power’s added value is based on two key pillars: its Scientific Council and its labelling process.

A Scientific Council dedicated to the quality of projects

Made up of recognized technical experts, the Scientific Council (SC) is an independent body in charge of analyzing and evaluating projects. It provides scientific, technical, and market expertise to projects, complementing the work of the operational team. Each month, it meets to review applications submitted by project leaders and pre-assessed by the cluster’s project managers.

After the review, project managers share the Scientific Council’s recommendations with companies to strengthen the proposal’s key strengths and identify areas for improvement.

This process enables:

  • to structure projects
  • to anticipate funders’ expectations
  • to strengthen partnerships
  • to optimize the go-to-market strategy

Smart Power labeling: a lever for funding

Labeling is a strong marker of quality and credibility.
Granted by the Scientific Council, it certifies that the project aligns with the cluster’s strategic roadmap and has undergone a thorough evaluation. This recognition significantly increases the chances of obtaining public funding.
